Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress best known for playing Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom" she has been gaining lots of attention. Calvano grew up in California She was at first fascinated by in competitive gymnastics. Later, she decided to pursue a career as an actress. Her first screen appearance was in 2010 in an episode of the CBS show 'NCIS'. Her big-screen debut occurred a year later, in the biographical crime-drama film "J Edgar'. She became one of the best young actors on the scene throughout the years. She was nominated in the year 2011 for an Young Artist Award in the category of the Best Performance by Young Actresses between 11 and 15 for her work in NCIS. In 2013, she was nominated for another Young Artist Award for her guest appearance in Disney XD's comedy series, 'Kickin' It'. Calvano played a role in a handful of episodes of "Mom" during its fourth season. She played the main role in the initial three seasons of the show. The actress won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for Best Female Actor - Rising Star, thanks to her role in 'Mom'.
